creating websites that give bankable results since 2004
Every website we create comes with one or more domain names as standard, but you can of course move you own over to us if you already have one, no problem at all.
A domain name is simply a unique name for a web site, like "sandersonwebdesign.co.uk"
Domain names must be registered and must be unique. When domain names are registered, they are added to a large domain name register. In addition, information about the web site, including the IP address, is stored on the DNS server.
DNS simply stands for Domain Name System. A DNS server is responsible for informing all other computers on the Internet about the domain name and the web site address. Basically, when someone types your web address into a web browser like Internet Explorer, or FireFox, it asks a Domain Name Server where your site lives, and it sends an address back, hey presto, the website appears.
